NEWPORT BEACH – A liberal Orange County couple recently admitted to friends and family that they really are better than everybody else, at least people who are different and do not live as they do or have differing viewpoints from them.
Nancy Smith-Williams and her husband, Jared Williams-Smith, came to the startling realization after a recent excursion to their private 40-acre retreat near Ojai. Smith-Williams said, “We were sipping our red wine and realized that we really are better and more important than just about everyone else. Our thoughts and needs matter more.”
“We are extremely wealthy. We are better educated,” added Williams-Smith. “Those two facts alone make us better. We are liberal because we are capable of making better decisions than our under-educated right-wing counterparts.”
“We know this will be difficult for our friends to understand, especially here in Orange County,” noted Smith-Williams. “We just hope that since we are smarter and wealthier that they know we don’t think too much less of them.”
