HEARTLAND – A Mid-Western Married couple recently had an incredibly difficult time changing their daughter’s poopy diaper. The Husband was in the living room watching Animal Planet when he heard the faint call of, “Babe! Babe! Help!” coming down the hallway from the nursery.
The Husband lept into action and bolted down the hallway to walk in on the hideous scene. The young family’s baby had been battling a cold for a few days and had been taking various over the counter medication to combat said cold. The Husband walked in on a fecal scene he had only heard about in fictional accounts of parenting. The Wife already had what could be described as runny peanut butter on her blouse. She directed her husband to grab the poopy diaper and dispose of it in the Diaper Genie.
The Husband refused, sighting that there was no clear spot to grab the poopy diaper. The Husband grabbed the Diaper Genie to swing it behind the Wife and allow her to deposit the Poopy Diaper into the Diaper Genie. However, the Husband mishandled the Diaper Genie and it slipped out of his grasp and dropped onto his bare foot. The resulting injury was gruesome. The Husband’s big toe exploded like a sausage left on a barbecue too long. Convinced his toe was broken, the Husband limped down the hall in disgrace. Somehow the Wife pulled it all together and changed the Poopy Diaper. Showers and laundry ensued.
